Recreational League

Tennis Open House

Tennis Lambda will hold a 'Tennis Open House' on Sunday, May 11 from 10 AM to 12 PM to get rid of the cobwebs off your racket. Open to all.

Recreational league is open to gay men and lesbians who already know how to play tennis, regardless of their level of play. Players are free to show up as often or as seldom as they wish throughout the season without committing themselves. We try to match players according to their levels in order to make the games as interesting as possible for all. Unless otherwise agreed by the players, matches are played in accordance with the Rules of the Court (Tennis Canada).

Where

We meet each week at complexe sportif Claude-Robillard, near the corner of Saint-Hubert street and Crémazie boulevard.

How to get there

A few minutes walk from Crémazie Metro station.

When

All Sundays, May 25 to September 7, 2008. 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM

NOTE : No tennis will be play on July 13 and 20, 2008.

IMPORTANT:

Players must arrive at least 15 minutes before the hour during which they wish to play to allow the organizers time to determine the match-ups.

In case of rain

If rain begins after play has started, and less than two hours have been played, then that week is cancelled and the players get a refund.

Match play

If more players show up than can be accommodated on the available courts, each participant will be guaranteed to play two out of a possible four hours. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that these hours will be consecutive. Except for the occasional singles match due to player availability, all matches are doubles format.
